Kim strongly believes that each business owner must give back to the community and is a dedicated fundraiser in the Florida Keys where she now resides with her husband. She founded and chairs the highly successful annual Woman's Hope Concert to benefit Samuel's House, a shelter for women and their children left homeless due to personal challenges and domestic abuse, and the Cancer Foundation of the Florida Keys. Providing step-by-step guidance in the newest tactics as well as unique twists on tried-and-true marketing methods, this book presents more than thirty small business success stories that illustrate how to create a winning marketing mix regardless of budget. Her e-book, Big Marketing Ideas for Small Budgets: A Step-by-step Guide to Growing Your Business, is available exclusively on Entrepreneur.com. And Bringing Home the Business: The 30 Truths Every Home Business Owner Must Know, contains the straightforward truths about successfully marketing a home business, combined with expert, step-by-step information to help readers increase their incomes and create the lifestyles they've always wanted.

Kim has been a columnist for Entrepreneur Media since 1997 and began as the Marketing Columnist for Entrepreneur magazine in May 2000. Also in 2000, she began a featured column on Entrepreneur.com, the largest small business site on the web. Kim's columns continue to appear there monthly, as well as on many other major websites.

For more than two years, Kim was one of just ten national experts selected by TIME Inc. to be a member of the "Board of Directors" for its interactive on-line magazine, TIME Vista Boardroom, where she answered questions from small-business owners worldwide. And she has spoken at the Brookings Institution before members of the Clinton Administration on the challenges faced by small-business owners.

Coaching and Business Expertise

An experienced manager and executive, Kim is president of National Marketing Federation Inc., which was among the first to pioneer coaching by telephone, bringing the same high-level marketing consultation that was once available only to big-business clients to small and medium-size businesses. Prior to founding NMF, Kim held senior-level corporate positions, as vice president of marketing and executive committee member of a $2.5 billion real estate company, and vice president of development for a $300 million marketing communications company.

Kim is a past recipient of Sales and Marketing International's Distinguished Sales Award presented by the late Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, and served for three years on the Board of Trustees of a Maryland treatment hospital for disabled children and adults.
